Southern Highlands Hockey

Light Up Sports were awarded the contract to light 2 hockey fields at Mittagong for Southern Highlands Hockey Association.

FIELD 1

On the original field, we removed the existing metal halide fittings and replaced them with 1350w LED fittings to achieve Australian standard for grade competition of 250 lux at 0.6 uniformity. Once the existing fittings were removed, we also stripped out the existing cabling from within the pole. New LED fittings with new cabling were installed onto existing cross arms and poles and connected to existing power supply. All new fittings were aimed as per the Light Up Sports design and tested. A rigorous testing procedure was completed using a calibrated lux meter with outstanding results - an average of 483 lux at 0.67 uniformity!

FIELD 2

A brand new field, which allowed Light Up Sports to design, supply and install a brand new lighting system. Scope of works included:

• 8 x 18m light poles - concrete footings, light poles and cross arms

• Conduit and cabling reticulation

• Switchboard and lighting control

• LED light fittings - design, supply and installation

• Aiming, testing and commissioning

  
  

Once completed, a rigorous testing procedure was completed using a calibrated lux meter with outstanding results - an average of 491 lux at 0.71 uniformity!
