LED lighting upgrade to 7 tennis courts
Light Up Sports were contracted to upgrade the lighting at Wauchope Tennis Club over 7 courts.
On Courts 1 – 4, Light Up Sports replaced 8 x 2000W metal halide light fittings with 8 x 1350W LED fittings using existing poles, cross arm and cabling.
Courts 5 – 7 required the existing timber poles to be removed due to deterioration and replaced with new galvanised metal poles.
Light Up Sports augered, prepared and constructed new concrete footings. We then supplied and installed 4 x 15m galvanised metal poles. On top of the new poles, we installed 8 x 1350w LED fittings across the 3 courts, which were connected to existing power supply.
Results are outstanding with a stunning average of 625 lux on court at 0.75 uniformity over 7 courts.
Most impressive was the cut-off properties, ensuring no light spill onto nearby road and residential properties.
